Engineering Journal: Personal Use Policy

IJOER- Personal Use Policy

The Engineering Journal IJOER allows authors to use their articles for various non-commercial purposes, such as classroom teaching, sharing with research colleagues, inclusion in theses, and the creation of derivative works. Authors must always provide proper acknowledgment to the journal when reusing or distributing their work.

Personal Use Policy:

Authors who publish in the Engineering Journal IJOER are entitled to use their articles for various scholarly, non-commercial purposes. This policy allows authors to share their research with colleagues, extend their work for academic purposes, and use portions of their articles in future publications. The following personal uses are permitted:

  1. Classroom Teaching: Authors may use their articles for teaching, including distributing copies (in print or electronic form) to students.
  2. Sharing with Research Colleagues: Authors may distribute copies (including via email) to known colleagues for their personal, non-commercial use.
  3. Inclusion in Theses or Dissertations: Authors may include their articles in theses or dissertations, provided these are not published commercially.
  4. Compilation of Works: Authors can use their articles in future compilations of their own work.
  5. Extension to Book-Length: Authors may expand their article into a book-length work.
  6. Preparation of Derivative Works: Authors can create derivative works, provided they are not for commercial use.
  7. Reuse in Other Works: Authors can reuse portions or excerpts of their articles in other scholarly works, as long as it is non-commercial.

In all cases, proper acknowledgment of the Engineering Journal IJOER must be included when the article or portions of it are reused.
