Engineering Journal: Policy for Research Data Sharing

IJOER- Policy for Research Data Sharing

The Engineering Journal IJOER supports responsible research data sharing to enhance transparency, trust, and reproducibility in science. The journal provides a framework for storing, sharing, and discovering research data that underpins scientific findings but is not included in the published article. By promoting data sharing, the journal aims to foster collaboration and advance scientific progress across all fields of engineering and science.

Research Data Sharing Policy:

Sharing research data enhances transparency, trust, and reproducibility in science, while also enabling others to build on existing work and generate new discoveries. The Engineering Journal IJOER strongly supports researchers in storing, sharing, and reusing research data, ensuring that the data underlying scientific findings is accessible to the broader research community. By fostering data sharing, we aim to increase the efficiency and reliability of the research process.

Research data often underpins, but exists separately from, published articles. Our policy focuses on making this hidden data discoverable, providing a framework for effective data sharing. Research data can include a wide range of materials, such as raw or processed data, software, algorithms, protocols, and methods—anything that validates research findings but may not be part of the published article itself. Engineering Journal IJOER is committed to collaborating with other stakeholders to overcome challenges and promote the responsible use and sharing of research data across all fields of engineering and science.
